POSITION: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
UNIT: PURCHASING
STATUS: TEMPORARY FULL TIME (Approximately October, 2022 – September 30 , 2023; may end sooner/be extend)
SALARY: $24.29-$27.13
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Purchasing Buyer/Customer Service Representative is responsible for placing routine orders submitted through requisitioning; issuing purchase orders; invoice reconciliation; and follow up and processing of returns. This position will communicate with vendors and internal costumers regarding discrepancies, backorders or substitutions. The Buyer/Customer Service Representative maintains warehouse inventory levels; administers STEGH’s uniform ordering and issuing program; administers new user set up and support in STEGH’s corporate procurement card program; and provides user support and training for MediSolutions software.
HOURS:
Typical coverage is required Monday through Friday, 0800-1600. The successful candidate also must have flexibility to adjust their schedule in order to meet the needs of the Hospital.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum education of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, however preference will be given to those with a post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) year previous buying experience; preferably in a Healthcare/Hospital setting.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory control and purchasing practices including contract management.
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of medical products
- Advanced computer expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; MediSolutions Software expertise preferred.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, utilizing effective organizational skills in an ever-changing environment.
- Must be customer focused and be willing to problem solve with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; working with staff, leadership and supply chain partners.
- Demonstrated dependable attendance and performance record.

Successful candidates must provide evidence of a fully completed COVID-19 vaccination status prior to your first day of work.
