*TBM provides facility maintenance service to George Brown College. At the heart of downtown Toronto, St. James campus teaches and trains students to become the future chef. Our job is to maintain clean workstations for the users of the facility. The job is secure and has great benefit. Hourly rate goes up on a yearly basis.

The position is available at 200 King Street East, Toronto.

Job duties:

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
• Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment

• Detail oriented – pays attention to details at each customer’s location, with extra attention to any special requests
• Team player – ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done
• Self starter - able to identify work that needs to be done

Work Environment

• Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, kneeling to clean floors by hand, push and pull objects, lift and move objects (including 20 lb vacuum), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
• Personal protective equipment, provided by the TBM, must be worn during work hours
