Job Description

Provides bilingual human resources consultation and support to Quebec. Has a strong knowledge & experience with Canadian Employment Law, particularly Quebec and knowledge of various generalist HR functions including, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, disability management, organizational development, Health & Safety, worker's compensation management, HR administration and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to CQ Quebec field and DC management and staff.

Partners with local Quebec management teams to address HR issues by applying appropriate HR strategies and policies.
• Executes long-term HR strategies and key initiatives to the field to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and team member engagement.
• Provides recruiting support & services to client groups. Audits policy compliance.
• Responds to teammate questions regarding employee benefits. Resolves and/or redirects payroll related questions.
• Counsels local managers on Company policies to achieve operational objectives, and how to effectively operate while reducing risks and remaining in compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Coaches supervisory level candidates in various programs.
• Assists client leaders in HR functions such as disciplinary procedures and appropriate corresponding paperwork/documentation.
• Becomes a sought-after internal business consultant to the management team through personal and professional development.
• Conducts investigations from beginning to file closure with all levels of employees and leaders.
• Assist with onboarding of new teammates, ensuring they are entered into all CQ systems where appropriate and communicating with payroll to obtain teammate identification and information.
• Support store managers with various functions, activities and reporting.
• Assists managers and supervisors with complex employee relation matters and investigations in support of stores and distribution centers when appropriate.
• Coordinate a variety of programs and communications, ie. Performance and merit increase programs; recognition, etc.

Required Skills
Work Experience Required
Must be bilingual French/English.
Solid Human Resources Generalist experience, retail/multi-unit environment a definite asset.

Certification Requirement
Must have or be working towards CHRP or CHRL designation.
