As a Manager of Assets, Tools and Equipment, reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for managing the entire life cycle (forecasting, maintaining, repairing, modifying, replacing and decommissioning/disposal) of physical assets such as tools and equipment to maximize benefits, increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

What You Do:

  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of equipment management including purchasing, efficient utilization, allocation, tracking, maintenance, rate schedules, and disposals
  • Responsible for annual budget and asset management strategic plan
  • Monitor financial performance to ensure that the organization is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment
  • Develop Life Schedules for all owned equipment, as well as processes and procedures for development of purchasing and disposal of equipment
  • Reporting of metrics on equipment utilization, maintenance costs and ensuring optimum performance
  • Build asset management processes, tools, and initiatives into a single corporate reporting structure and inventory system
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, or planning services
  • Manage personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations
  • Working in collaboration with stakeholders, provide planning and forecasting estimates for replacement, rehabilitation, or general maintenance requirements for all assets using industry standard practices
  • Review impacts of continued growth of existing assets with consideration to resources required to maintain service levels, as well as identifying future service expansion and required resources
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and operation techniques

  • Well defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills

What You Bring:

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in Engineering Technology, Asset Management, or an equivalent 10 years of field experience, with a recognized designation
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • Knowledge and experience in Asset Management Plan Development, and the use of Asset Management software (Toolhound)
