Laundry Aide - Casual

The Laundry Aide is responsible for folding, ironing, sorting and distributing clean linen, hanging clean uniforms, coordinating with Seamstress, facilitating repairs and cleaning the work area and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 Education
• Physically able to lift and move heavy objects, and push/pull loaded carts, on a regular basis.
• Ability to tolerate high temperature in work environment.
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of and current WHMIS certification  
• Ability to adhere to standards of cleanliness to prevent spread of infection.
• Reliable attendance record.

STARTING SALARY:  As per CUPE Collective Agreement

SHIFT:  May consist of Days, and Evenings, 7.5 hrs (Subject to change as per operational requirements)
