POSITION: Orthopaedic Technician
Primary site: Stratford
Casual
(Shifts: 8-hour shifts, days and evenings, 7 day/week coverage, may be subject to change)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Orthopaedic Technician is a member of the peri-operative team and is responsible and accountable for assisting orthopaedic surgeons, other physicians and hospital staff in the Operating Suite and the Emergency Department; and maintenance of supplies and equipment in an aseptic environment.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Surgical Services

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $30.03 to $31.88 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS: - Grade 12
- Completion of a training program from a hospital/community college
- Member of the Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologists (preferred)
- Aseptic Technique
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- First Aid Course

EXPERIENCE: - One (1) year recent experience in an Orthopaedic Technician

- Evidence of commitment to continuing education and development
