                                                               NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION:  Executive Director

Full-time position (37.5 hours/week) with start date to be negotiated.

Summary:  Working closely with the Board this position will assist the organization to prepare, and operationalize a new Strategic Plan while providing leadership to and management of staff.  The position will be responsible for fund development including grant writing and public relations including public speaking.

Education and Experience: A degree in not-for-profit management, with preference given to a housing focus. Three years or more experience in the management of a not-for-profit. Post-secondary education and experience in Social Services, Child and Youth Services, or Psychology an asset.

Position Requirements: Superior (including financial) management and organizational skills; knowledge of Perth County community resources and support programs; knowledge of the causes and effects of homelessness for youth (16-24 years); proven ability to handle complex human resources issues; experience guiding an organization and staff through a transitional period and in new directions as identified in the strategic planning process.
