Millwright (Permanent Full Time) up to $33.89/hr

We are currently recruiting for dedicated millwrights to join our dynamic team in Barrie.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot an industrial automated robotic resistance welding, stamping, paint and assembly manufacturing facility, with primary focus to mechanical aspects of equipment.
  • Respond to downtime calls and apply necessary repairs with urgency.
  • Discuss events with process operator and decide means of troubleshooting.
  • Check machine conditions for alarms.
  • Confirm failure mode of Robot, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC or Pneumatic.
  • Apply repairs and judge if temporary or permanent. Apply PDCA.
  • Maintain equipment as per maintenance schedules and manufacturers recommendations.
  • Confirm welding schedules as compared to past calibration settings.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain facilities equipment accuracy.
  • Apply changes to equipment through continuous improvement for quality and delivery enhancements. Cycle time down, part presence, and environment.
  • Robot teaching and programming.
  • PLC programming.
  • Complete TSS work order requests and follow up with the customer.
  • Change machines lubricants when required by schedule.
  • Report all tasks and change points in database and ensure all activity meets all regulatory compliance.
  • And completion of any other tasks as assigned

The incumbent will also be responsible for generating the following reports:

All tasks to be entered in database, change point control, preventative maintenance, resistance welding schedules, and any other reports as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Millwright
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience preferably in the automotive industry
