The Pharmacy Assistant undertakes an incredibly varied set of responsibilities and duties in a fast paced and dynamic environment.  They are accountable and responsible for the technical and clerical functions in the department. This position is fast paced and dynamic.



  • Grade 12 Education, pharmacy assistant experience an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in drug dispensing and I.V Admixture preparation
  • Ability to work with sustained attention and accuracy
  • Accurate keyboarding/typing skills
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy
  • Demonstrated clerical experience
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be physically able to lift/move heavy objects
