About Us:
Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln & West Lincoln is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in West Niagara. As we embark on a new building project in 2025, we are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our fundraising initiatives as a Community Outreach Champion.

 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Outreach Champion is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, planning, implementing, and managing key fundraising events to generate annual revenues in support of the Agency's vision/mission and fundraising strategic plan. This role involves overseeing community events from conceptualization to debrief.

 

The Community Outreach Champion actively engages with key community builders, including committee members, event organizers, and volunteers, to support fundraising efforts. Serving as a passionate ambassador for the Agency, the Community Outreach Champion also plays a crucial role in supporting the Agency's social media and web presence. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments to organize and deliver friend-raising events, contributing to the building of key stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Fund Development:

  • Plan, execute, and manage all facets of fundraising programs, special events, and subsequent communications.
  • Develop the annual Fundraising Plan, encompassing key Revenue Streams and related Expense Budgets.
  • Implement modernized fundraising strategies for donors to attain revenue targets.
  • Secure donations, matches, and sponsorships.
  • Cultivate new donors and manage an existing donor portfolio.

 

Event Management:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Agency fundraising events.
  • Maximize event revenues through soliciting supporters and innovative fundraising activities.
  • Develop and manage event committees and volunteers.

 

Donor Stewardship and Relationship Building:

  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
  • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with existing and new donors.

 

Donations and Data Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure effective account management processes.
  • Ensure databases are updated with information relevant to events and fundraising activities.

 

Communications & Outreach:

  • Develop an annual integrated strategic communications and media relations plan.
  • Maintain an active presence on social media platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining the Agency's webpage.
  • Draft, prepare, and support the development of various communications materials.

 

Other:

  • Potentially engage in agency committees of interest to support the role.

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Fundraising Management, Communications, Marketing, or Social Services preferred.
  • Certification as a Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Valid G driver’s license.
  • First Aid, CPR Level C Certification
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Police Check and MTO Driver’s Abstract.
