Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our Service Department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems in commercial and multi-family residential projects. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and a passion for high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
-
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas fitting systems and equipment
-
Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on mechanical systems
-
Install and replace components (e.g., taps, sinks, toilets, hot water tanks, valves, furnace components)
-
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
-
Join pipes using appropriate methods (clamps, screws, welding, etc.)
-
Perform leak testing using air and water pressure gauges
-
Communicate professionally with clients about diagnostics, timelines, and costs
-
Maintain organized work areas and ensure proper cleanup
-
Supervise and mentor apprentices as needed

Conduct daily Field Level Hazard Assessments
-
Ensure all work complies with applicable safety codes and company standards
Qualifications
-
Valid Journeyperson Plumber/Gas Fitter certification (Red Seal required)

Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) certification
-
Current Standard First Aid certificate
-
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-
Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical schematics
-
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
-
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
-
Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions
-
Experience with tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments
-
Strong focus on safety and customer service
Working Conditions

Job sites include commercial and multi-family residential properties

Regular travel within Calgary and surrounding areas

Operation of a company service van
-
May require after-hours on-call availability
