Cost Analyst

Our client a large manufacturer of office furniture located in the North end of Toronto is seeking a Cost Analyst.  This position would require the candidate to be accountable  for the entry and maintenance of customer sales orders, ensuring that all the information is accurate.  Coordinate the process of cleaning a sales order prior to release to production, including obtaining drawings, pricing and ensuring engineering drawings are generated.  Ensure that customers receive efficient and courteous service through the order management process, as well as providing pricing and delivery information. 

 

Duties

  • Accountable for receiving requests for new sales orders and for changes to existing orders.  Work with customers (internal and external) in a timely and professional manner to clarify and address customer change requests.
  • Accountable for entering new orders and ensuring that all orders are clean, including an assigned schedule date, correct pricing and ensuring that custom orders are sent to the engineering department for production drawings.
  • Responsible for monitoring production capacity and scheduling orders to level load production.
  • Responsible for auditing all orders in a thorough manner to ensure that all information is correct.
  • Answer inquiries from engineering and purchasing regarding information about component parts and costing information.
  • Responsible for order confirmation.
  • Responsible for professionally resolving customer requests for adjustments on orders or billing.
  • Responsible for miscellaneous office duties and activities.
  • Responsible for front desk activities including greeting visitors at the reception area and ensuring all guests sign in and are met by applicable staff members. 
  • Support the expediting of rush orders to production.  This includes walking an order through all stages of the order entry, engineering and drawing release process.

·         Work with other customer service representatives to support all of the above tasks.

 

To Qualify Candidates Require

  • Post-secondary education
  • Product costing knowledge is an asset
  • Customer Service related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Computer literate, including Google Apps, Microsoft Office, ERP system and network usage
  • Knowledge of the office furniture industry is an asset
  • Fundamental understanding of technical drawings is beneficial

·         Working Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Occupational Health and Safety Act

 

$23.50 per hour
